Passion for Animals: My Professional Evolution

I have a love and passion for animals that started at an early age. Growing up, we always had animals of some shape or size. This fueled my passion for animal behaviour, training, and welfare.
As a teenager a Springer Spaniel (Katie) rescued by my father, appeared and joined our family. I took it upon myself to rehabilitate her. And not only with love but also with training she became my best friend and confidant.

On leaving school I worked full time with horses. At 18, I went to Sweden. I worked for a Count and Countess at an Arabian Stud. I also had the fun of living in a mansion. After which I returned home to work with dressage and eventing horses and started my family.

Back to Education

I did not return to education until 2010. Where as a mature student I embarked on a qualification at Hadlow College https://www.hadlow.ac.uk/
They directed me to their Access to Higher Education (Land Based) Certificate. This was a prerequisite for placement on the BSc(Hons) Applied Animal Behavioural Science and Welfare.
